Description
A chance to see (and taste) the development of a forest garden through the year.
This four-part course is spread through the year at two-monthly intervals. It will cover forest garden principles and practice, including
– how a forest garden works
– the forest gardening year
– designing a forest garden
– forest garden plants
– paths and access
– pests and plant care
– harvesting and cooking
– plant propagation.
Each session will also look at the harvests and tasks for that time of year, from spring to autumn.
Times and dates
14:00 – 17:00 on Thursday 16 March, Thursday 11 May, Thursday 13 July and Tuesday 05 September.
For those who can’t make these times, the evening course might be possible.
