Description
Pruning is used in orchards and forest gardens to improve yield, health and access. Getting it right involves understanding the growth patterns of the plant you are pruning, to guide it into putting less of its energy into woody growth and more into fruit. This course will introduce the principles that underpin all pruning, and how they apply to apples, pears, plums, cherries, currants, gooseberries and cane fruit.
Sunday 10 November 11:00 to 13:00.
The course will be based in my flat at 1d Powis Circle, Aberdeen AB24 3YT, but most of it will be held outside in my allotment. If the weather forecast is extremely bad the course will be cancelled and attendees will be offered a full refund or a place on another course.
